Fond of bull shows and traditions, Paul Ricard gets small arenas built to hold courses camarguaises in 1945.
In 1955, the bulls from Paul Ricard’s manade are on the front of the region’s most beautiful posters. The visionary builder Paul Ricard has the biggest private arenas in France built.
The same year, he establishes with his brother-in-law Louis Thiers, l’Union des Club Taurins Paul Ricard (the Union of the Paul Ricard’s bull clubs). The Union will organise days of “ferrades”, gathering over 2000 people in Méjanes.
