Louis Thiers was Marie-Thérèse Ricard’s brother. A Lieutenant-Colonel. Louis is a brilliant young man and is at the time the youngest banker in France.
With the spirit of an entrepreneur, he quickly gets bored of the banking industry. He is very close to his stepbrother Paul Ricard and shares the same passion for work, sociability, and affection. Paul Ricard offers him to join them in the Ricard firm as the finance director. The two of them together form a powerful pair. Paul Ricard the visionary and creator with Louis, the administrator. A perfect harmony.
Louis Thiers is also a cheerful and kind man that likes people. His spouse Germain Roux (her maiden’s name), is from Arles. So the family lives in Marseille during the week and for the weekends go to Arles, and mostly to Méjanes.
Germain is the elegant ambassadress to the Ricard Bulls Clubs. Always present, discreet, and caring. Michèle Ricard testifies: “I was lucky to have her as my godmother. She passed on to me her love for the Arles’s traditions as well as her broach. I remember our last conversation on the phone a few days before her death. She said to me, “take care of Méjanes…”.
Louis Thiers and his friend and associate Louis Delavalle, alias “Loule,” are every Saturday at the Waux Hall Brewery. That is where they meet all the people belonging to the corrida and cattle-rearing industry. That is also probably where after talking to a Bulls Club member, Louis Thiers, full of enthusiasm, decides to create the Ricard Bulls Club alongside his current position in the firm, with Paul Ricard’s help.
He even has a manade of Camargue bulls. Louis Thiers, more involved than ever, takes over the management of the Alès arenas. His responsibilities in the Ricard group then the Pernod-Ricard group will increase, as well as the number of Bulls Clubs.
